                                       Welcome to The Wee House

This Newly refurbished home is a perfect base to explore the Rosses and the North West  Donegal Wild Atlantic Way.

The Wee House is a cozy romantic couples retreat, that is comfortably furnished with a fully fitted kitchen and a small dinning area. Upstairs there is a super king size bed to sleep soundly on with Luxury bedding.

After a busy day exploring come home and unwind by taking a shower using your complimentary Organic Voya toiletries and grab one of the fluffy White Company bath robes and slippers and make your way down to a real log fire. Pop on a movie from the free Netflix and unwind with a glass of our complementary Wine or Procescco which will be in your gift pack. Or just settle with a good book,  play board games or attempt a jigsaw.

Pop out and enjoy cooking up on the BBQ grill in the little patio area for those sunny days or if it turns cooler, wrap up in one of the blankets and watch the stars.

I hope The Wee House has everything you need to make it a holiday in Donegal that you will remember for ever.

Guest amenities include , beach towels, beach chairs, cooler and kitchen basics.

Parking is available in the driveway. A washing machine and tumble dryer and an outside drying line, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, board games, outside blankets, dressing gowns, bedding, towels, walking maps, and Logs for your first fire.

We live next to The Wee House so we are easily reached at anytime, but we respect your privacy and will not bother you unless asked. We also should mention that we have a very friendly Newfoundland Dog called Barron that you will see during your stay.

This is a NO smoking and No vape property.

The Wee House is situated in a quiet location and is beside our main house but it is not on looked. The Wee house is conveniently located just steps aways (200 m) from the sandy Mullaghderg Beach which is a conservation area. The Beach is ideal for walking and it also hosts the "Swimming Strand" which is an ideal place to take a dip if the weather suits. Stunning views of the North Atlantic and incredible sun sets can be enjoyed from many points at Mullaghderg Strand.  And if you're lucky Dolphins can be spotted.

The Rosses have a historic and rich culture of art and music with artists such as Enya, Clannad and Daniel O'Donnell coming from the area.

The Rosses offer some of the best Angling in Europe with a multitude types of fishing from Sea or Game Angling.

If Golfing is your past time there are 10 Golf courses with in one hours drive providing a selection of some of the finest links and parkland courses in the County.

For Restaurants there is Danny Minnies (booking in advance is advised) or for the best plate of Scampi in my opinion head to Caisleain Oir Hotel where they have an extensive menu of hearty family Meals.  Leo's Tavern is 15 mins drive away which offers local bar food and is also the home of Enya and Clannad. Or head to Kincasslagh to the Viking House to enjoy traditional meals and a pint or two or Iggy's Bar for a Guinness.

The town of Dungloe is a 20 mins drive away and offers a wide selection of shopping such a Lidls, Aldis and Super Valu for groceries.  The Cope general store offers retails shopping as well as groceries.  There is also a wide selection of Restaurants, Cafes and carry outs in the town.  There is a local tourist information centre available. Fishing permits can be obtained from Bonners souvenirs on the Main Street.

Your rental will be cleaned and ready for you to enjoy. You can expect all comforts of a fine hotel, including Organic Voya shampoo, soaps and products. Bathrobes from The White Company and slippers with luxury towels, and linens. Your home will include a detailed book providing specific home details, local suggestions, Wi-Fi access, TV instructions, and more.

If you need anything at all before, during, or after your stay, we are available 24/7 and always ready to help!

Perfection comes to mind

Our visit to 'The Wee House' left us with nothing to be desired. Perfection comes to mind when looking back on our trip. Sharon and her husband Joe were excellent hosts and were beyond helpful. Welcomed by a warm fire, a cold bottle of prosecco and a charcuterie board. Great location for amenities. So close to a lovely beach and another that stretches for miles a short drive. The house itself is finished to an immaculate standard- the cosiest room with a bed you could sleep years in, tons of fun to be had playing the board games or cooking delicious meals in the kitchen. If you are considering renting here I can not recommend it enough. Great local walks and not too far from any sights you'd like to see in Donegal. Not a question of "if" but rather "when" we will be back again later this year.

coziness and luxury

The ‘Wee House’ is the perfect combination of coziness and luxury. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Sharon and Joseph are wonderful hosts and go beyond the call to ensure any stay at their property is very special. So many great options for beautiful walks, beautiful beaches and beautiful food. Perfect for our birthday and wedding anniversary celebrations and a perfect spot for a relaxing winter or summer break. Thank you from Stephen and Joanne. Can’t wait to go back!

Staycation Honeymoon

We thoroughly enjoyed our staycation honeymoon at The Wee House. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived in the middle of a storm, and was welcomed by a roaring fire and a bottle of Prosecco. Thank you very much Sharon and Joe. Hopefully we will be back again. David & Anne Marie, Galway.

Highly Recommend

I highly recommend a stay at the Wee House, our trip here was perfect. The house is spotless, and has everything you would need for either a short or long stay. The complementary cheese board, wine and breakfast food in the fridge was a great personal touch to the start of our stay - and all delicious. The Wee House also has a guest book with loads of great local recommendations - definitely give this a read. The location itself is also perfect, a stones throw from Kincasslagh beach, which is stunning no matter the weather. There was also so much in The Wee House to make our stay as comfortable as possible; the comfy couch in front of the real log fire, the HUGE double bed, complementary dressing gowns and lots of soft towels in the bathroom. We were out exploring and keeping active most days, as there is lots to see and do in the area, so it was delightful to relax in The Wee House each evening. Sharon and Joseph are also great hosts, really lovely people and very accommodating with any questions or additional requests we had. All communication prior to our arrival was also very quick, friendly and detailed. I will definitely be visiting The Wee House in the future, and I am already looking forward to booking my next visit!

Absolutely incredible

Absolutely incredible space and even better hosts! Sharon and Joe could not have been more welcoming. The Wee house was spotless on arrival and everything about it was perfect. A bug plus was the guest book with lists of places for good food and things to do etc. A really nice touch. Would absolutely no questions asked, come back again!
